The Flames Lose At Home V Holbrook Allstars
The third quarter commenced much in the same manner as the second quarter and continued that way until the end of the game. The Flames did not adapt to the change quick enough and the final score was 49-63.
The Allstars’ maturity was the key to their win: They know their key strengths and weaknesses and played with both of these in mind, doing what they have been taught to do for years. This is only our second year in the league and we have only had a stable line-up the last couple of months. We are learning how each one of us plays individually and getting to grips with our collective workings. We have much to learn but, as Coach Curran (who directed our efforts for the first time on Monday night due to Coach Baverstock’s reluctant absence from the bench) kept repeating to us every time-out, we have a lot of potential. We will not get discouraged, we will continue working hard this season and we will secure more future successes.
